Overview

This is an animated music video for the song Something Like Forgiveness by my band, Cutting Room Floor. Co-written and performed Alyssa Kai, Fiona Chamness, and myself, the song asks: what does it mean to forgive when you are both a perpetrator and a victim of someone else’s actions? I developed the art and storyline through a series of conversations with my bandmates, reflecting on each of our interpretations of this song after over a decade of collaboration.

The animation for Something Like Forgiveness is hand-drawn in Procreate, with transitions, effects, and kinetic typography added in Adobe After Effects.
